ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF ARGOSTOLI
The museum houses antiquities from the island of Kephalonia, ranging from the prehistoric to the Roman periods. It also contains a remarkable collection of Mycenaean finds.
The old museum was destroyed by the earthquakes in 1953 and the new one was built in 1960.

The museum contains excavation finds from Aetos, dating from the Geometric to the Roman period and a remarkable collection of finds dated to the Geometric period.

ASSOS TOWN AND CASTLE
Fortress of the late 16th century. Good example of Venetian fortification construction. The fortress has not undergone systematic excavation.

MELLISANI UNDERGROUND LAKE
Melissani is a steep-sided cave (3.5 km long, 40m wide and 36m high) where its salt waters fed by the stream that disappears underground at Argostoli. The water is a gorgeous deepblue and the boatmen enteraining.
DROGARATI CAVE

CORGIALENIOS LIBRARY
The Corgialenios Library of Argostoli was founded in 1924, according to the will of Marinos Corgialenios, a great benefactor of Cephalonia (1829-1911).
